NEGATIVITY can move you into a POSITIVE direction

God gave me this message just this past Saturday. I am currently under the weather (In Jesus' name, I will be well when this article posts). I'm talking head congestion, body aches, fluctuating temperature-the works. I usually have at least one article written by Saturday but this cold has really had me weak and unfocused. Aside from that, I missed the final play practice for the Christmas play at church so I was super bummed.

As I laid in bed, tissues everywhere, not able to find my meds, feeling as if I let my church members down, I ask God "How can I possibly get Your work done like this? I don't even know what to write." God, being the AWESOMENESS that HE is, had an answer. He had me go on Facebook to check on a previous co-worker.(named Andy for the sake of this post) While on Andy's page I notice our previous manager (named Jamie for the sake of this post) is now on Facebook and has commented on Andy's page.

While under Jamie's leadership, I was informed that I not only had NO customer service skills (this was a customer service position) but really NO skills at all. And  "Maybe you should consider going back to school or becoming, I don't know, a secretary?" Note: I find nothing wrong with secretaries but apparently Jamie did based on the condescending tone "secretary" in which was spoken.

I had forgotten all about Jamie and this interesting, to say the least, conversation altogether until I saw the Facebook post. Talk about my fire being lit!! I got up, got myself together and begin writing IMMEDIATELY.

I have this long drawn out story (as usual) to say, DON'T LET ANYONE STEAL YOUR JOY. ANYONE! Ask God for guidance on EVERY aspect of your life and He will make your crooked paths straight. Your calling may not be writing a weekly Christian blog (like a certain someone) but understand this: God wants the absolute best for you! God says you have not because you ask not.

Thank God, I allowed Jamie's foolish words roll right off of me. Sometimes, we are not so lucky. Ill words spoken to or about you can take a piece of your joy. It can also cause you to be fearful of trying the things God has placed in your heart.

Come into agreement with me that every curse spoken against you is broken in the name of Jesus! We condemn any tongue that rises up against you. God has set a place for you before your enemies. Vengeance is His for "I will repay" says the Lord!

One of God's many titles is Restorer! Don't be afraid to try things that are in your spirit. (and in God's will) Even if they don't go as you hoped, so what?! If you never went for it, you would not be able to scratch it off of your "to do" list. God may have used that venture as part of your testimony to help others. Remeber, He doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

I find that the most negative people are those who's dreams were killed. They found no encouragement from others, became fearful to venture out and feel "some type of way" about people who do. Seeing you try new things, reminds them of the rejection and fear they have experienced. They are miserable as a result. Misery loves company but as I say "I have a much better time with happiness!"

Depending on whom it comes from, negativity can be very hurtful. We must pray to keep ourselves covered (guarding your heart) from attacks and sincerely pray for those speaking against you and anyone else will be delivered from that negative spirit. Carrying negativity around can be a heavy load. Imagine how much lighter they would be without it!

On another note: I think I may send my blog to Jamie and ask "Is this what you had it mine? (= " Hahaha, j/k

Are You Being Fed the Main Course of Just a Side Dish?

Prophets are wonderful people, chosen by the Almighty God.  Those in the prophetic ministry hear directly from the Lord and they convey His message to His people. This is one of the gifts Jesus Christ gave to the church (Ephesians 4:11); part of the fivefold ministry. It takes a special relationship with the Lord- a deep dedication- to walk in this ministry.

The pastor of my church is a prophet. My husband and I love our prophet and his wife, who is our Co-Pastor. Not only have they spoken a prophetic Word over our lives but they actually apply the Word of God into their lives. Not everyone practices what they preach BUT THEY DO. Our Pastor and Co-Pastor sincerely and continuously intercede on behalf of the congregation. And talk about unity! I have seen the two of them together several times in the spirit realm, walking arm and arm. It is one thing to appear to be united in front of others but to have God actually reveal them to me in visions in unison; TRUE UNITY!!

I appreciate when God gives our Prophet a Word to relay to us. In fact, I became on fire for the Lord as a result of a message our Prophet gave to me from God. As I grow deeper in my relationship with God I understand that the things spoken by our Prophet are additional blessings and confirmations about things God may have already spoken to me. We all must come to a place where we develop a relationship with God and not JUST depend on a Word from the Prophet or any other form of leadership.

Understand that God is trying to talk TO you also, not just to someone else FOR you. Think about the entire congregation versus one prophet. That is a lot of individual Word to give out! We must seek God for ourselves! I am not, by any means saying not to accept or want a prophetic Word. As I mentioned earlier, my life is forever changed by God using our prophet. I was depressed, hurt, broken and lost until God used not one, but two prophets on New Years Eve 2010 to speak to me. I experienced what Jeremiah felt; fire shut up in my bones! I have never been the same! Hallelujah! I thank God for His prophets.

What I AM saying is this: the Word spoken to me would have been useless if I had not taken action on it. When we are given a Word, it is for a reason, especially if it related to a gift or a shifting that God wants to come forth. Don’t ignore, feel defeated by or forget about a Word spoken over you and seek another. He placed one before the other for a reason!

God may purposely not give anyone a Word for you because He wants you to seek Him for it. His Word says “Those who seek me will SURELY find me.” (Proverbs 8:17) The Lord is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. (Lamentations 3:25) And since it is the Word of God doesn’t it make sense to seek HIM for it? As you seek him DAILY and sometimes MULTIPLE times within a day, you will hear what He wants for you. Words spoken by the prophet will then become confirmations and bonus blessings, not ALL you have from The Lord. Think of it as the prophet adding on a side dish to your meal versus waiting on him/her to give you the main course (plus the side dishes for those who constantly want a prophetic Word. Be honest!)  The side dish compliments that main course which was given to you directly from the Head Chef. If you go to the prophet for the main dish, he may not have time to feed you or give you all you are wanting. Then you (your spirit) will go hungry!

Also, keep this in mind: all prophets are NOT from the Lord. False prophets do exist. Many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. (Matt 24:11) Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. (Matt 7:15) There was one on the TV recently, predicting the end of the world for 2012. That is not true. Not only will the world still be here but the people of God will be flourishing like never before! We will be so much in unison, saving souls and living the abundant life that the enemy is sending out his folk to try to stop it. They are falsely “predicting” the world is ending as a distraction to get the people of the Lord of course for what God is about to do. By telling these false dreams, they are trying to get my people to forget me. (Jeremiah 23:27) God says you can spot a false prophet in this way: Deuteronomy 18:21 & 22 (If he speaks something and it does not come true). Not to worry though, God will handle them. False prophets and those who seek their guidance will all be punished for their sins. (Ezekiel 14:10)

Above all else, seek God. When you do, He will give you EVERYTHING YOU NEED. (Luke 12:31)  That includes discernment to know when someone is speaking and it is not of Him.

Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged. Psalm 69:32 (=

FIGHT FOR YOUR MARRIAGE!

Marriages are constantly under attack. Satan hates marriages because represents unity and he does his best work in division. It is a covenant ordained by God. A marriage is a special bond that God created for a man and woman to share. It should be structured with Christ as the Head/CEO, with the husband as the Home Manager and the wife as the Administrative Assistant. Marriage means being a team NOT in competition.

As fellow Christians we should definitely NOT “put our mouth on” someone else’s marriage. Each relationship is different because the people involved are different. What God wants for someone else may not work for you. A God appointed marriage is such a blessing! It is flowing with favor, blessings and God’s grace. If we are speaking against one another’s marriages, we are talking against God. Is that what you really want to do? What God has placed together, let no one pull apart. (Mark 10:9) Instead of negativity, we should speak life and encourage those who are in marriages. Pray for their guidance, and then pray for our own.

God says it is time to give a refresher (or first course for some) on how marriage should be. He says some of us are listening to the WRONG people concerning marriage. Some of us are not seeking help at all. He does not want to see his people divorced; He hates divorce. (Malachi 2:16) Here a list of Scriptures on topics pertaining to marriage. The Word of God is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword. (Hebrews 4:12) So study it! Speak it into your atmosphere! NO MATTER WHAT YOU ARE DEALING WITH, JESUS CAN FIX IT!

Of course, this post is not limited to those who are currently married. If you are looking to marry, read about what God wants for you. Also, this post does not exclude those NOT seeking marriage; your situation is between you and God. This post is written to explain marriage, clarify the roles/responsibilities of a spouse and to restore marriages that are currently in a broken state.
GET YOUR BIBLE OUT. I encourage you to read beyond the verses listed…WITH YOUR SPOUSE. (All NLT version)

The Altar: Take Some, Leave Some

Going to the altar is a wonderful/powerful/awesome experience. The purpose of an altar call is to receive deliverance; deliverance from anything or anyone that's keeping you or the person you are praying for from what God has for you. Also gain freedom from anything/anyone holding you (or them) in bondage. Everyone responds differently while at the altar. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that; it's between you and the Lord. No matter how you respond, please remember to do one thing in particular; leave your cares there with the Lord. Do not take them back to the pew with you. The Word of God says: Give ALL your worries and cares to God, for HE cares about YOU. 1 Peter 5:7

Deliverance has a root word; deliver. Deliver those strong holds to the Lord. They may be overwhelming to you but nothing is too hard for our God. Just think of a pizza delivery. The delivery person leaves the pizza and takes your money (along with any coupons you may have blessed with). There is an exchange. In the same way, deliverance is all about taking some and leaving some.  Give your burdens to the Lord, and he WILL take care of you. He WILL NOT permit the godly to slip and fall. (Psalms 55:22) Exchange those cares for His Glory, His Peace, His Joy. Leave that despair and take some hope into the workplace. Leave that brokenness and take some healing back home with you. Jesus can restore, finish, create, change, heal, cover, and save ANY situation! Whatever you receive, know that it is yours TO KEEP. Do not let anything take your deliverance from you! What God has for you, it is for you! His thoughts are precious towards you! Psalm 139:17
Look at it this way; as long as God keeps those things you LEFT on the altar (and He will), you can keep those things which He's GIVEN to you. Even if you left your sins on the altar, once you give them to God, they are gone! He removes them as far as the east is from the west. (Psalm 103:12)  It is only when you take back those issues, concerns, heartaches that you GIVE back the goodness of the Lord. You can’t have both. How can you be joyous and in despair?  In debt and prosperous?

Maybe this exercise will work for you. Write everything you want to give to God on a piece of paper (seal it in an envelope if you like) and actually leave it on the altar. Don't worry about anyone exposing you. God will not allow it to fall into the wrong hands. If you do not attend church or don't care to go to the altar, that is OK! God is omnipresent so you are not confined to the altar.  If you would like, find a place where you can talk to God and trust leaving your cares. You cannot go back to retrieve it. (If you do not feel comfortable physically leaving your cares anywhere, do a mental drop off. Be sure to pick a beautiful location (: ) Once you drop it off, it’s GONE! Hallelujah! No more worries! You’ve casted your cares on Him.

I will add, you may not see immediate results but don’t worry. Work your faith and God will work out the rest. Let Go and let God! He answers prayers! Here are a few scriptures attesting to this: Psalm 34:4, 66:19, 118:21,120:1, Genesis 30:17, Judges 13:9.

Let me add this while I'm adding; listen to Trade MySorrows by Israel Houghton. That is my soonnnggg! Also, it relates a lot to this posting.

Be blessed people, God loves you! He wouldn’t have given His only begotten Son if He didn’t!  (:

Plan your work and work your plan!

Note before reading below: The funds promised in this article are not about you. Yes, you read it correctly. They are not about you. They are, however, about getting God’s work done and spreading the good news of His love and how Jesus died for us all. Ministry work is what it’s all about. I placed this paragraph here instead of at the end because once you read about the money; you may go into a daze and lose sight of the purpose.

NOW LETS GET TO THE GOOD STUFF

There was a certain, let’s just say “contest” going on across the country for which the top prize was $1 million. For legal reasons I will not disclose the name of the contest. In all honesty, I was pretty excited about the contest so I entered it. Soon after, God convicted my heart and told me not to participate because the contest represents a form of gambling. Now, we’re all at different levels with our conviction, but lets be clear: gambling is against God. It’s a type of get-rich-quick scheme that leads to greed and the love of money – all against God. See Matthew 6:24, Proverbs 28:22, 1 Timothy 6:9-10, Ecclesiastes 5:10, Luke 12:15, and Hebrews 13:5.

So I must admit I was a little disheartened about not being able to participate in the contest. In my disappointment I didn’t realize my desire to participate in the contest was the manifestation of a familiar spirit trying to revisit me. As I sat on my bed one day God spoke to me and asked, “Why are you so anxious to get $1 million? What are you going to do when I give it to you?” Notice I said God said when, not if. Believe it or not God does provide wealth for His people. ((Read about the lives of Abraham, Lot, Jacob and Job.)) These men had wealth because of God’s favor on their lives. They served God and brought glory to His name with everything He had given them. Note that not everyone’s wealth comes from The Lord. There are some wealthy people in this world that are not for God. But do not envy the wicked. The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.

Anyway...So, though I was a little shocked at the question I replied, “Umm, I don’t know. Get stuff.” Then God asked, “What do you mean stuff? And I replied, “You know, a home so we can provide a ministry for free or little cost. I’ll also set aside some money to promote our ministries and I’ll give to the church. We do want another car. You know, stuff.” I think God is content with my answer. Thankfully He can see my heart and look pass me fumbling through my words to understand exactly what I would actually do if blessed with $1 million. Next God asked me if I had written down my plans. “No, sir,” I replied, as I began writing them down on a piece of paper. I added money for our extended family to my list, as well as an estimate of our taxes and the amount of money my husband, Reggie, and I need to pay off our debts. God said, “Okay. This is a good start but you need to develop a business plan.” Hmmm…I thought, a business plan? Really? Then I shook my head. Did I really question God? Please understand; I questioned what He said, not who He is...still wrong though. Again, I am so thankful he knows my heart and that I meant no disrespect to Him.
God wanted me to understand that it was imperative that I develop a solid business plan. He reminded me of my business degree and that I already know what a business plan is and its relevance. In the secular world, people create business plans to present to banks when applying for loans. God wanted me to understand He has money to give me – not loan me – but he fully expects me to develop a business plan so I will be mindful of what is required of me once he blesses me with the money. So I began saying “Okay, Lord. Thank you. Thank you.” Trust me when I tell you I was speechless. I mean, what could I say after a conversation with God like that? He said one last thing to me: “Don’t focus your mind on just $1 million because once you spend $1 of that money you’re no longer a millionaire.” To His people he says, “Don’t be discouraged or overwhelmed if you are not business savvy. I can meet each of you where you are. Listen to me, to complete what I feel is sufficient.”
Amazing! God is just so awesome. If you’re reading this, it’s meant for you to see it. Get your business plan in order to receive the blessings from The Lord. And just so you know, this is described in Habakkuk 2:2-3.
Then the Lord said to me,
“Write my answer plainly on tablets,
so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.
This vision is for a future time.
It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently,
for it will surely take place.
      It will not be delayed.

TRUST GOD

God has me testifying more than I imagined I would but He definitely knows best. Someone reading this is getting a breakthrough!

In July 2011, my family and I were struggling to pay bills. I was recently laid off from my employer and that was the only income for our family of three. We fell behind in the bills a few months prior, for reasons I cannot recall. As a result, we could not pay our rent in this particular month.  Here is a little information about apartment communities; rent is due on the 1st, late after the 5th and court filing for eviction is usually around the 15th of each month. Of course I did not want a court eviction filed on us. Rental agencies RARELY rent to anyone with prior evictions. You cannot hide a court ordered eviction; it appears on your credit report.
Anyhow, we were past the 15th but there was still a chance to NOT be evicted. Court papers were filed on us but the court date had not yet been set. As long as you pay in full prior to the court appearance, the case is dismissed.  I tried my hardest to not worry about the situation but instead cast my cares upon the Lord. I prayed about it often and immediately after praised God for his help in the situation. He inhabits the praises of His people. One morning, as He woke me from my sleep, God says “Go to the bank and take out a personal loan for the rent.” I quickly got out of bed, and got ready to head out. Before I did, I went into my husband’s music studio where he and our son were. Now at this time, we were not praying as consistently or effectively that we do now. But God met us where we were. He saw our hearts and our faith in His Word. My reason for entering into the music studio was to read the daily devotional with my husband. I informed him that we HAD to read so I could go get our rent money. Reading was really the only thing we were consistent in at that time but that’s okay. Thank God for growth.
My husband was focused on finishing one of his songs so his mind was not completely on what we were reading. Also our son was being very distracting during our reading. Because of these things, I feel some negativity in my spirit laughing and saying “You may as well forget about it. They don’t care, you are in this by yourself.” In spite of, I CONTINUED to read and do the ending prayer and headed out the door.
I rejoiced during the car ride to the bank because I felt a sense of peace about the situation. As soon as I feel this, of course the enemy tries to tear it down. “How are you going to get money FROM a bank when you OWE them?! Not going to happen.  Turn the car around.” There was a bit of truth in that statement. The devil does speak true things with some distortion in the midst. ((Remember his conversation with Eve?)) Let’s not forget, the devil is a liar. (John 8:44) Here is the truth: at that time, I owed my salary advance. This is exactly what it sounds like; the bank advances me a portion of my paycheck and I pay it back when my funds are direct deposited into my account. Whenever money is requested for an advance, a percentage is deposited in my checking account and a percentage is deposited into a separate account that I cannot use. Also, my account was overdrawn. In total, I owed about $600 TO the bank. The lie: I was not getting any money from the bank. I knew in my spirit what God had spoken to me. I also knew that He had already worked out our situation.
Too often, people hear from the Lord and without realizing it, allow the enemy to steal their blessings. When Satan speaks, he often puts it in “I” or “me” to make it appear that those are your words but they are not! Ask the Lord for discernment to know when you are under attack!
So I arrive at the bank. I write my name on the sign in and wait to be seen by a Loan Officer.  I go in, I fill out the credit application for $400 (the remaining portion of the rent needed) and waited as she processes it. To the Loan Officers surprise, not mine, she mentions all my college debt as well as recent accounts that were unpaid. She explains that she cannot give me a loan based on my credit report. I say okay and remain in the chair with my hands in the praying position as instructed by the Holy Spirit. She then gets an idea. (Of course she does) to write my situation (needing rent money, one income, and a plan to pay back in a couple weeks) on a sheet of paper so she can present it to her boss. This is not a typical thing that is done in this company.
I sit there for maybe five minutes, praying and praising God for whatever He was doing. I had no idea but I was not leaning on my own understanding. She comes back to me with a WITHDRAWL slip for $400. She explains that while they are loaning me the money, they will GIVE it to me. They took the money from my salary advance account.  With the salary advances I performed I accrued enough to total what I requested as a loan! This money is usually not available unless you close out your salary advance and pay off whatever is owed but those are man’s laws. God has his own set of laws for His people! So here I am, with a withdrawl slip for $400, STILL having a salary advance account, STILL owing the bank $500 for my previous salary advance and STILL owing $90 in my checking account. Ain’t God AWESOME?!?! He is worthy of ALL praise!!
I sincerely thanked her (as if she had a choice) and went to the teller station. Now this teller, bless her heart, was just doing her job. I hand her the slip and give her my account information. She looks at my account info, looks back at me and says “I will be right back. I have to call upstairs and verify this slip.” I laughed and said “I understand, do what you have to do.” She thought I forged the slip! But why wouldn’t she? I owe money to the bank yet I have a slip from one of the big wigs to be issued money. She returns a few moments later and hands me the cash with a smile. Here comes Satan once more, the hater that he is, and tries to make me fearful that someone will steal my money on the way out the bank. Satan, get thee behind me!!
When I get home, I explain everything that happened to my husband. He has this shout/dance/praise that he does when things like this happen. It is comical to me but I know God receives it. After I explain everything God speaks to me again. He reminds me of why I started the salary advance; to get married in August 2010. He explains that He knew this day would come so He had us sowing into ourselves for almost year in preparation! Hallelujah!! If we can reap a few hundred bucks by sowing into ourselves, how much more will we reap by sowing into His Kingdom?!!

Yo Gabba Gabba originates from WHERE???

Don’t want to read this in its entirety? Ok, here is the summation. The name comes from a chant spoken in a movie surrounding adultery, attempted murder, people being picked on and called freaks because they were different and the love of money. It is then placed in a rock song that changes a few letters in the chant and allows a man dressed in a pinhead mask and women’s clothing to hold up the sign with the chant written on it during their concerts. It is then chosen as a name of a children’s show that mimics God. If you would like to continue reading, by all means, please do…

I must admit, I enjoy watching some of my son, Zion’s television shows with him. He is not in daycare so we watch Nick Jr. and Disney Jr. daily for lessons in learning. In the beginning, I watched the shows along with him to insure we were not exposing him to anything not of God, i.e. Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Halloween. This sensitivity to television shows came to me from the Lord. I would feel convicted when watching shows surrounding homosexuality, murder, violence, etc. So much so, that I could no longer watch any of my previously favorite shows.

As soon as Zion, began to pay attention to the television, the same conviction came upon me. Please understand; God’s plan is not to take our fun away but if we are to serve Him, there are things of this world that must be dismissed. We are in the world, not of it. (John 17:14) They are taking you away from God and that is not good for anyone. Aside from that, evil spirits attach themselves where they can easily deceive. Television is no exception.

A couple of months prior to this revelation, my husband Reggie, and I did briefly ponder, “what does Yo Gabba Gabba (Y.G.G) mean”. Sad to say, we left the situation as just a ponder and Zion continued to watch it from time to time.

On this one particular night, as the show was ending, I noticed Zion’s attention focusing elsewhere. Now that I think about it, he may have always looked away during this time. Zion hears from the Lord as well, ya’ know. Seriously. But that story is for another article. For those not familiar with the ending of the show, all of the creatures of Gabba Land , who are miniature in comparison to DJ Rock, return to their area of the land. DJ Rock stands, watching over them and says Y.G.G., meanwhile spreading his arms wide and sprinkling a glitter like substance over them. After this, they return to stiff figurines. At the beginning of the show, this same chain of events from DJ Rock causes the figures to come to life.

So, I, noticing that Zion looks away, say “look Zi”, and begin the motion that DJ Rock does at the end of the show. This is my first time, attempting this motion. As I begin to spread my arms, God immediately stops me. He says “Don’t do that. They are trying to imitate Me.” It is as if my eyes opened immediately. I replied, “Wow God, they are! Forgive me.” And then, “I rebuke you, Satan.” God does not take too kindly to anyone imitating or trying to replace Him. In fact, He detests it. He is a jealous God. (Exodus 34:14, Deut. 4:24, Deut 6:15) There is no other god before Him. (Deut. 32:29) He is God alone.(Isaiah 46:9)
Now at this point, I am sure some of you are saying, it is not that serious, it is just a children’s show. Please never forget that the enemy is out to kill, still and destroy (John 10:10) The verse does not go on to say, “…the voting age only.” Also, keep in mind that he prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. (1 Peter 5:8) Children are somebody. We ourselves, were taught to say “I am somebody” at an early age. Only God creates life. (Isaiah 42:5) And He used words to do it. (Genesis 1:26) That’s how powerful words are, so be careful what you speak.

Once the revelation from the Lord came to me, I decided at that very moment to do some researching. I am always in research mode, according to my husband. To my surprise, he began a search as well. Here is what we found: unlike other Nick Jr. shows, Y.G.G is not produced by Nickelodeon but two fathers out of California.(1) One, Christian Jacobs, is a former child actor and current lead singer in a rock band. The other father is Scott Schultz. I did not find much information on him outside of producing Y.G.G. The name the of the show comes from the 1977 song by the Ramones named “Pinhead”, by way of the 1932 movie “Freaks”. (2) (3)

The plot of Freaks circles a trapeze artist, Cleopatra who marries a midget, Hans, for the sole purpose of taking his inheritance. Meanwhile she has an affair with another man, Hercules and together, they plot to have her marry Hans, poison him and take the inheritance. During the wedding reception dinner, the “freaks” chant “We accept her, Gooble, Gobble, one of us.”  During the chant, they are pounding on the table, passing around a glass of wine to each “freak” at the table and a hysterical laugh is in the room. This enrages Cleopatra. She mocks the freaks and leaves. Hans is saved by the freaks from being poisoned and Hercules, whom they castrate (not in the DVD version) becomes a soprano singer while Cleopatra is transformed by the freaks into a feathered hen. (4)

The Ramones wrote the song entitled, Pinhead in 1977. In this song, there are these lyrics “Gabba Gabba we accept you, one of us.” The song ends with “Gabba Gabba hey!”  Pinhead received its name after one of the freaks in the movie named Schlitzie.  As a result of the name, one of the concerts roadie named Mitch “Bubble” Keller began appearing on stage during the Ramones concert. He would wear the Pinhead mask while holding a sign which read “Gabba Gabba Hey”.  It became popular so the band continued the appearance of Pinhead. As time went on, added to the Pinhead mask was a brightly colored polka dot dress which is worn by Keller and sometimes celebrities. (5)

So there you have it, written or should I say typed in black and white (and the few other colors I used). Knowledge is power. God says His people are being destroyed for LACK of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6 KJV) I plead the blood of Jesus over all children! May we as parents seek God daily to cover our children from snares of the enemy. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

I am Victorious!...call me Vicky for short

I am Victorious!….call me Vicky for short
With my head held high and smile all wide
Defeating demons as if it were an easy sport
Due solely to whom I have living with me on the inside.

I feel the sun rays thru my window shade
Knowing that once again God has the sky lit
This is the day the Lord has made
I will rejoice and be glad in it.

A day for Vicky is always prayer minded
For the family, my friends and one’s self
To not only seek God’s will but find it
And not just for things to display on a shelf.

Now I’m sure those 'things' bring slight happiness
And are short term pleasures for you
But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness
And all these 'things' shall be added unto you.

Now you can’t be Vicky without being a light
To this evil world we live in
Walking by faith and not by sight
Telling of how Jesus bled and died for all sin.

The “Good News” is, He rose from his grave
And conquered death for you and me
To serve Him is to be saved
And to be Vicky for all eternity.

I will serve You in spite of…a Peachanda DuBose testimony

For those who do not know Peachanda aka Peaches, she is the Founder/CEO of Mayan Productions. http://mayanproductions.webs.com/ This woman of God uses her platform to express herself as an author, playwright and concert promoter. I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. DuBose in the summer of 2011. She graciously extended an invitation to my husband, Reggie, to perform in a concert she promoted, entitled Power Expo(losion).  It was during this time that she was going through her test. I will admit that I was floored to find out what she was dealing with at that time. She never appeared to be down, in the least! Aside from this, she pressed on and continued performing the duties assigned to her by the Lord! It goes to show, you never know what people are going through, but God does! He knows our hearts (Psalm 139:1NLT) and our situations. He never forsakes the righteous. (Psalm 37:25) Jesus felt her faith and ending her suffering. (Mark 5:31,34) God has truly blessed Peaches with a victory! Below, is her story in her own words. I pray her story inspires you as much as it has inspired me.

In March 2011, shortly after my last production, "Even a Wretch like Me", my children and I became homeless. We remained that way for the next six months.  After losing my home & two vehicles, I slid into a deep depression. My misfortune came as a result of a few things. To start, I sponsored and promoted events that benefited others & not my family. Also, there was a lack of support from a city I poured so much of myself into. Lastly, there were unwise investments on my part. Destitute and not a dime to my name, me and my children had nowhere to go. If it had not been for a good friend, we would have been on the street.
During this time, many of the same people that I blessed/provided platforms for, began to attack my character and integrity. Not knowing my situation, they spoke harshly toward me and abandoned me. These people, whom I helped, were the very ones who hurt me. Many times I wanted to retaliate, and defend myself, but I had to remember who I was. God dealt with me, reminded that vengeance is His (Romans 12:19) and told me to remain silent.
After a while, the depression subsided, and I began to move forward. Even though I was going through, I continued on with the assignments He gave me: The Kingdom Social, Power Expo(losion), Pay Per View events, and my book signing...He told me not to look at my situation and to trust Him. Only people close to me knew that during this time, I suffered chronic body pains. But I continued to press on. Shortly after that, I had a health scare with my son and a near fatal car accident. Eventually God opened a door for me to be employed with the Charlotte Observer Newspaper and He led me to continue to look for a home.
I looked at my present situation and began to ask God “How am I going to make it? Let alone get a home in my present situation?” His response, "Trust me."
So, I continued to look. He told me, "That house that you think you can't get, yes that one, it's yours."  I admit, I was very nervous about going forward, but I did. To make a long story short, on September14th, I picked up the keys to my new home here in Charlotte.
I share this with you to encourage you today. No matter what your situation, no matter who you are, no matter what they say about you, whether they support you or not, even if it doesn’t make sense, pursue your dreams. Tell depression to be still & trust God. He did it for me, and my children, Lamont Quinton DuBose, Maya Chale Whitfield.  He will do the same for you!

God bless you.
