Jesus is THE reason for the season but is He YOUR reason

You can take a look around at just about any home, store, office, etc and see holiday decor. Everyone seems to be readying themselves for the holiday season. There are snowmen and Santa Clause and trees dressed in ornaments and reindeer antlers...but what about Jesus???

Since He is truly the reason we should be reverencing Him, every day of the year but especially during this time of year if you are truly celebrating CHRISTmas. Satan goes to great strides to distract the world during this time; depression hits, store sales are at their best, stress develops, and parades designed to highlight the main attraction, Santa (put that "n" at the end and what do you have?). There are classic "Christmas" songs and movies that mention nothing of Christ. People even get tired of writing Christmas and decide 'X'mas is better. WAKE UP!!! There are two different celebrations going on here. As Christians we need to stop trying to blend the two. Satan was thrown from heaven for wanting to be like God, it only makes sense that he would try to steal the glory during this time by any means necessary. You may think its okay because you are not actually saying that you worship Satan but what are your actions showing???

There are some things that are reverencing Jesus during this time. Beautiful songs like "Oh Holy Night" , "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World" are wonderful reminders of the Prince of Peace and the purpose of his birth.  There are also some decorations that were created to reverence Him. One in particular is the candy cane. It was created in the shape of a J for Jesus and in the colors of red for the blood of our Savior and white for his pure virgin birth into this world. It is also the shape of a staff when turned over to represent the Good Shepherd.

The Lord says His people perish for lack of knowledge. Be not deceived! Don't allow tradition to block your vision. And don't lie to your children by saying Santa is real, then get upset with them because they pick up this same habit. A lie is a lie no matter what it is, but which seems worst, having a child lie to you about sneaking candy into their room or you lying to them about a man in a big red suit leaving presents under a tree that was once used as an idol ( Jeremiah 10:2-10 ) during the time of year that is supposed to be about our Lord? God blessed you and whomever else with the resources to get those gifts!! Don't give credit to Satan!

Religious Resumes

A religious resume is something people like to recite to you and/or add to their name every chance they get. I call it a Religious Resume versus a Christian or Spiritual one because that is just what it is...religion.

For example: an older member in the church may not be willing to take guidance from someone younger because the older person 'has been saved since (insert year here) , served on (insert name of committee(s) here), can recite (insert # of chapters here) from the Bible, and has been ordained since (insert year here), so on and so forth.

Please note: this is not just limited to older folks. People with religious resumes have a hard time believing that someone with lesser credentials (in their eyes) can minister to them. They feel that they are so high up that if the Lord wanted to speak to them He would come in a trance or dream or send Gabriel to them versus using another mortal.

The Lord can use anyone at anytime. How foolish would I be to not accept ministering from Zion just because he is two years old and I am the parent? The Lord has previously and will continue to use Zion to pray in the spirit, shift the atmosphere, remind me of my purpose and whatever else HE sees fit to do. I would miss out on my blessing or growth if pride were to come over me. The Lord doesnt look at age or anything fleshly but instead, at the heart of the man.

Spitting off a Religious Resume means nothing to the Lord. You may very well have creditials given to you from the Lord (and some from man) but your consistent fellowship with Him keeps your Spiritual License to Operate in an active state. We dont want Him to regret putting us in position as He did with Saul .

Stay in Him and be sensitive to Him manifesting Himself in others. We can't compare our work for the Lord with that of a secular job. Working for God for 5 years does not automatically qualify you to be promoted before a new hire (or someone newly serving Him) . Promotions are based on His ways and thoughts which are higher than ours. We each are a part of ONE body, not several individual bodies. Each person is important. Each person has Christ within. Lets all work to continually yield to Him versus trying to block Him from manifesting in others.

You Have The Heart of David!

The Holy Spirit has me reading a reading plan. Today's chapter is 1 Samuel 17:1-54.

As I re-read about David- oh, how I like David (: - my spirit became filled with such zeal, such hope for myself and others. There are many of us facing a Goliath of some sort right now. This person, place or things (whomever or whatever Satan is using) is seemingly larger than you. He/she/it antagonizes you and treats you as if you are inferior. This false sense of superiority comes from tradition; they are accustomed to feeling in charge, based on the way things have been for years and years. . . that is, until you stepped on the scene. Goliath sees the Christ in you and instantly despises you. v.42. This fact is also true for some of your family members who attempt to speak the things they struggle with on you; jealousy and other shortcomings. Don't allow those false reports of your intentions distract you. v.28. Goliath knows that greater is HE that is within you than he that is in the world. He talked big and bad but stayed in his place; BEHIND the line v.21. See, when you are God's chosen you run to and fro as you please, just as David did.  v.48

Goliath mistakingly believed that the usual would sustain him. v.23 Using what it looks like and a bunch of hot air to instill fear in others. But not so with you, says the Lord. The last shall be first and the first shall be last. Goliath had a little height to him but it is no match for the POWER OF GOD. The Lord was with David just as He is with you! You may be smaller/younger but you are strategic! You are well trained by the Holy Spirit! The simplest of things become mighty weapons in your hands! v35-37, 49. You may think you are behind in comparison to everyone else but that's alright! The Lord will release you at just in time! v.32 There are some who are fighters but you are a defeater!! That giant WILL fall !!

There are others thinking that their age, status, lifestyle, etc. has made them ready for battle, all the while you are in the background getting prepared. v.13. They are all alike but you are different! You are the secret weapon! You may feel outnumbered or outweighed but the devil is a liar! The Lord is with you! Keep going! Even some who have walked with the Lord for much longer than you may not understand in the beginning but that's okay! Keep going! They will catch up in God's timing. v. 37.

So when you feel an anger rise up within you because of the things done against the Lord, go with it. "Who is this. . . .that he should defy the armies of the living God?" v.26 That fire stems from the love you have for the Lord. You will need it to drive you so you can defeat this giANT. David ensured he had the situation settled in his spirit and pressed forward.v.25-27 He was strong and courageous! Ready to defeat the enemy that had harassed his people.  The Lord wants you to be courageous just as David was and to know that HE WILL deliver you as he's done in the past! v.37 The evil one cannot touch you!

And be sure not to clothe yourself with unnecessary things. v 39 Don't worry about covering your flesh but your spirit. You have all you will ever need; the Lord.  People will begin to notice what the Lord is doing with you and try to traditionalize you; put the same things on you that they are clothed in but don't allow it. Use discernment. Be bold enough to tell them to keep all the titles, robes, entourage and fluff. Again, you have ALL YOU NEED. THE FATHER, SON, and HOLY SPIRIT ! So don't dress in mess! Carry the Lord in the battle with you!

P.S Age DOES NOT MATTER! v.33, 42 David was only a boy but the Lord was able to use him because his heart was willing. He wanted to please the Lord and not others or himself.

Amen!

Build Your Ark!

Genesis 6 and 7

This is the story of Noah and his obedience to the Lord. He built an ark, per God's instruction, to house Noah's family and seven of every clean animal & two of every unclean animal on the face of the earth. A few facts stand out to me about Noah:

  • Noah had God's favor because he was righteous and blameless despite the wickedness around him. ( 6:8,9 )
  • Noah was obedient. ( 6:22, 7:5 )
  • Noah's family respected him and his faith in the Lord. ( 7:7 )
For these reasons, The Lord entrusted in Noah such a task as boarding his family and the animals on the ark and releasing them into a new season. All that was required of Noah was obedience and a little labor. Well, by little, I mean in comparison to the big picture. The ark was HUGE, standing 3 stories high and longer than 3.5 professional football fields. But thankfully, Noah saw past it's size and focused on pleasing God. He understood the magnitude of the task at hand, not the ark itself.

When we are obedient and do our small part, God will perform His part. In this case Noah built and ark. In turn, I believe the Lord sent all the animals to Noah.  And the Lord made it so all the animals sailed on the ark, in perfect harmony, not harming Noah, his family or each other. Not only that but after all were on board, but 7:16 reads "Then the Lord shut them in." Noah did not have to struggle with that massive door! After this, the Lord sent rain for 40 days and nights to flood the earth and cover the tops of the highest mountains by 20 feet. And then He cleared it all out and gave them the okay to leave the ark again.

My point is: when the Lord gives us a task we must do it. He never left Noah during the assignment and He will not leave us either. Not everything the Lord does is seen in the natural like it was with Noah. Some things may be performed in the spirit realm but contingent upon our obedience. Everything the Lord asks may not make sense to us but that is okay. We are to trust Him completely and lean not on our own understanding. The Lord entrusted one person, Noah with such a large task that literally changed the world. And his assignment was TIME SENSITIVE. ( 7:4) The specific instructions given by God were completed immediately by Noah.

What is your "ark"? Who is waiting on you to build it and save them from destruction? He/she/it awaits the covering or shelter that you are to construct. INSERT YOUR NAME in place of Noah's in verses 6:22 and 7:5 and read it aloud. Get to work, time is ticking!

Our Dear Baby Z

Many of you had no idea that my husband and I were expecting our second child. The Lord saw fit to give us other plans and that child (Baby Z) has returned to heaven. I was led to pour out my thoughts on that day and now to share them with you all. I pray this posting ministers to someone who has in the past or is currently coping with a loss. No, I never had the opportunity to hold my child but a bond was formed between the two of us and this sense of loss is real.  This was indeed a devastating blow for me but GOD IS STILL IN CONTROL AND I LOVE HIM FOR WHO HE IS !

My plans are to memorialize Baby Z by placing the writing below in a frame along with his/her ultrasound picture and an angel charm bracelet.

On 5.31.12 Baby Z went back to Heaven. I am thankful to have been used as a vessel by the Lord for this specific purpose. I imagine that I was used to house an angel for a short period of time so they could experience a glimpse of being in the natural. Maybe he/she needed a reminder or maybe this was his/her first time on this side of Heaven. This reminder allowed them a boost, an additional drive to remain in the army of the Lord. Baby Z may have previously been assigned to me but not really sold on why he/she should fight so hard for my protection against Satan. So the Lord brought he/she here, through Reggie and I to see first hand why I am worth it; why God calls me His beloved. I pray that I passed my portion of the assignment and that Baby Z is now another angel guarding my journey here. Amen.

Stop Whining and Take Authority!

Recently, I returned from a visit with my family in my hometown on Roanoke Rapids, NC. It had been months since we saw each other! This was a much-needed visit. I had a wonderful time fellowshipping with my grandmother, siblings and other relatives. I have always been a little different from them, not better, but different. They consider me more of an outcast even though I am the eldest.  Outcast or not, we have always remained extremely close. This closeness is one positive result of our difficult upbringing. I like to call my family "wide open" compared to myself. Lol

Anyhow, after this wonderful time of spreading love and imparted small nuggets here and there about the Lord (= , I returned home. I fixed dinner for my tot, Zi Zi and made a small snack for myself. All of a sudden, irritability came on me. I noticed Zion playing in his food and said "Zion, EAT YOUR FOOD". Immediately after saying this, I snapped out of it and said to myself, “He’s only 18 months; he's doing what children do, calm down, Jazz." As soon as I spoke, my body was INSTANTLY under attack. I mean my body temperature shot through the roof, I became very weak to the point of trembling, dizziness came over me and I felt as though I would faint. I was sitting at the kitchen table in one chair and fell over into another chair. I felt as if something was physically pushing me down. Zion and I were the only two down stairs and I did not have the strength to call out to my husband who was upstairs.

Zion, with his gift of discernment, acknowledged that something was wrong. He began to yell and beat on the kitchen table. I lifted up slightly to glance at him. He was looking directly at me with a look of concern on his face, steadily yelling and beating on the kitchen table. As I fell back down into a slump, fear came on me even stronger. "Lord," I said, "I don't want to pass out here in front of him. Please, please help me." Immediately, I heard "Stop whining and take authority! You have it!" The revelation of THE POWER within me quickly registered and I began to speak out into my atmosphere. I took authority over anything trying to hinder my good health and bound it in the name of Jesus. I reminded Satan that I have the authority to trample over serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy and nothing shall by ANY MEANS harm me. I am a blessed woman of God; I am a child of the Most High. By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed. I SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE.

Within seconds, I was able to sit up in the chair. After making this declaration, I turned on Pandora-Israel Houghton radio- as an added blow to Satan. I began to sing the song playing and sent up praises to my Lord. He deserves all the praise!

This attack came on because of the day's previous events. The devil knew that there were breakthroughs coming to my family because of our fellowship and was quite upset about it. The Lord spoke to me in such a way to remind me that He is within me. Greater is He who is within me than he that is in the world. I should not ask Him for things that I already have. I was asking Him for a victory that Jesus had already won.  I was asking for healing that Jesus had already given to me. I was asking for power that already worketh within me. I maintained my victory and total healing, not by might nor power but by the Spirit of the Lord!

Reverence verses: Luke 10:19, Deuteronomy 28:1-14, John 1:12, 1 Peter 2:24, Psalm 118:17, 1 John 4:4,  Zechariah 4:6, 1 Corinthians 15:57

No Party Pooping

In life, it is inevitable; we have those people who are supportive and those who are not. This happens in everyday life as well as Christian life. Not everyone is in agreement with one another and the work being done for the Lord. Moreover, it is really something where these people are located. The negative bunch ALWAYS seem to be close by. Whether in your family, on the job or any other space you have, a judgmental/negative person is right there and waiting on an opportune time to remind you of their thoughts about you. Meanwhile, those who admire you, INSIST on doing it from afar. Why is that? We need to work on switching the places of these two groups. Create a "No Party Poopers pass this line, SUPPORTERS ONLY" sign in your mind. (Create an actual sign for your home/work space and watch the reactions lol)

The Word of God says:

Respect everyone, and love your Christian brothers and sisters. 1 Peter 2:17 NLT

Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord's work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them. Matthew 18:20. It is much more beneficial to come together and have Jesus with us rather than be divided and allow the enemy to have his way. Now this does not mean that you have to agree with everything someone does but if it is truly for the Lord do not come against it. Work done for the Lord is never in vain. See 1 Corinthians 15:58.

In addition, as the supporters began to show themselves more, both the supported and the negative folks will take notice. Hopefully all will grow and be awakened as the supported receive an extra boost of encouragement to continue the journey and the negative folks become aware of the energy they are wasting. At the absolute least, pray for the one whom you do not agree with, that God, not your perfect be fulfilled in that person's life. Negativity is never needed or necessary.

Praise God for the Miracles!

Recently, the story of Sarah was brought back to my attention. The Lord allowed her to conceive a child at age 96. This is an incredible story that some, even Christians find hard to grasp. I was told that this would not happen in today's time, mainly because people don't live to reach this age as they did in biblical times. I disagree as the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance "There is nothing is impossible for God". . .especially something that He's done before. I did not debate but kept quiet as the Lord continue to speak to me about Sarah. The focus should not be on her age so much as where she was in her life.

Yes, people lived longer during her time. She lived to be 127 and conceived a child 31 years prior to her death. We first hear about Sarah residing in Ur, which is in modern day Iraq. I am not sure if she was born here but I am using it for this example. The average lifespan as of 2011, of an Iraqi woman is now 70 years.  Having a child 31 years prior would mean the woman conceives around age 39. Although the median age for childbearing in Iraq is 20, is it really hard to believe a 39 year old woman could conceive a child? Let me also add, in2008, a 70 year old woman gave birth in India. The average lifespan of a woman in India as of 2011 is only 66. Can we say miraculous?!

Aside from this scenario, the Lord has NOT stop performing miracles. We see them so often that they are downplayed. Jesus said we would do greater works and we indeed are! Moses had to hold up a staff for quite some time to allow for the Israelites to cross the red sea. Now-a-days, we have pipelines running under large bodies of water as well as cruise ships on top. Or, we can travel without even touching the water in airplanes. It is all done via technology which the Lord gave us. We are not now nor will we ever be more advanced than He is. There are no limits on what He can do! Give Him the glory!

There are talks of wanting to see people leap out of wheelchairs and walk. What about those that are double amputee who aspired for the olympics?  Be gracious for what the Lord is doing EVERYDAY! He is performing miracles but we acknowledging them? He is beyond standing from wheelchairs ALTHOUGH He can STILL perform this. We are on to greater works! A hand of a Christian may not physically be touching these things to cause them to manifest but our prayers are being answered! HE is showing himself mighty and strong!

There was water into wine and now there are plants into feul. Don't discredit the Lord's work because it is not as you studied about. That is a Pharisee mentality. Paul & other apostles physically traveled the land and relied on handwritten letters to spread the Gospel. We now have the Gospel in thousands of languages and various versions, available 24/7. Someone can literally be in their living room and broadcast a global sermon via the internet. We have hard copies of the Bible available and even a Bible application available on our cellular phones. THESE ARE THE GREATER WORKS!  There is plenty more to be done and in the name of Jesus we will acknowlegde the resources given to us by Him and continue going forward in Him!

Back to the Fundamentals

The Word of God is not a fairy tale but there is an happily ever after. It is not entended to be read as a form of entertainment, although there are entertaining accounts written, but as a survival guide. Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. This Guide is designed to equip us with what to/not to do. The Bible is NOT outdated. Both past accounts as well as prophesies are written but ALL should be used. History merely repeats itself. It has all been done before. Nothing under the sun is truly new. Ecclesiates 1:9 NLT  If it happened once, it can happen again so you the Word to prepare yourself.

God is timeless; eternally in the past and future. Some have strayed away from the Word but this doesn't mean the Bible is outdated. It means some are disobedient and trying to fix something that was NEVER broken. God's Word is perfect because He is perfect. The Bible is THE foundation, THE fundamentals for our lives. No matter whom we are, we can't escape the fundamentals.

Let's use a smaller fundamental; the alphabet.  Whether you've written a New York Times Best Seller or one who writes "love you" notes for your child's lunch box, you both have the same fundamentals; learning the alphabet. What you do with the fundamentals is completely up to you. You can take it and soar "on eagles wings" or choose to do nothing. The choice is yours. Choose ye this day.

They know the truth about God because He has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Romans 1:19-20

And the only way to be with God, our Father is through Jesus Christ. Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6

And no one knows when the Lord will return except God.  “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows. Matthew 24:36

So again, the Lord emphasizes, choose today whom you will serve. Joshua 24:15

In the name of Jesus, you will choose life, which is in Christ. This decision will allow you to see the Bible as a How-To guide, a reference book and not as non-fiction, sci-fi, fable, fantasy, an old wives tale or anything else UNREAL.

Reggie's Message

For those who do not know, Reggie is my wonderful, wonderful husband. He is a gospel artist (singer, rapper, songwriter and producer) and goes by the name Skyway Rec . As with anyone else doing the Lord's work, Reggie encounters attacked from the enemy. When you cause as much damage to the enemy's kingdom as Reg does, you are bound to make the enemy a little, or very angry.

We have been attacked in several ways, attacks on top of attacks, especially since 2012 began. Generational curses have been trying to bc v overtake us, we received Words from God that others tried to deny, debts have been coming from seemingly nowhere, division came into our home and then we lost our home. But praise God! When the enemy comes in like a flood, God WILL and has raised up a standard against him! God has allowed us to go through certain things to strengthen us, to train us to endure as good soldiers. I did not realize just how true the previous statement is in our lives until God gave me a demonstration via my husband.

One evening, while Reg and I were in a serious championship game of the card game Speed (he took my championship title that evening but whatever), our son comes to Reggie with a nail that he had found from who knows where. SN: Children can find just about anything! I may send him on a hunt for jewelry and money when he's a bit older.  Reggie takes the nail from Zion (our son) and tosses it onto the dresser. Now our dresser top is a bit cluttered to say the least. There were books, boxes of facial tissues, drinking glasses, knick knacks, lotion bottles, etc. on there. So I assume that Reggie made the assumption that he would just toss the nail there to spare himself time during our game. He quickly turns around from the game, tosses the nail and pauses. He looks at me and says " Do you see that? It landed straight up! " I glanced over and sure enough, the nail landed, in the midst of all that mess, all of that clutter, and chaos and was STILL STANDING.

The very next morning, Reggie, Kristen, my sister in law also known as Kris in law and I went onto the back deck. I was videotaping Reggie and Kristen as they performed a skit to promote SkyWay Rec's soon-to-be released album 'Reloaded' (had to plug that in there {^_^} ) There was a car tire laying on the ledge of the deck. It was in view of where we were videotaping. I mentioned this fact to Reggie. Immediately, he turned to it and shoved it off of the deck ledge. The tire made the 6 foot drop and landed just as you see it in the above picture.

I knew God was speaking to me at that moment but I did not get the revelation until the following morning. My mind became flooded with the Word of God as it applies to Reggie and our current, but not permanent situation.
  • Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault. Jude 1:24
  • So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. 2 Peter 1:10
  • The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.  Proverbs 24:16
  • Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. Psalm 37:24
  • We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:9
  • Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 55:22
  • The LORD helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. Psalm 145:14

The Holy Spirit spoke so strongly to me about my husband. This message is for you as well ! You are strong! You are courageous! God will NOT permit you to fall ! Nothing we do in the name of Jesus will fall but it WILL remain standing! We have all missed it and fallen when it comes to instructions from the Lord in the past but God is placing our feet on solid ground. Though we are thrown, pushed, shoved and dropped into unknown and sometimes scary situations, He is there! We will always land on our feet with God. Sometimes we need a push to get started and to get out of that spirit of complacency. We are being knocked into position with our feet firmly planted on the path God has chosen for us.

If you are in a fallen state, do not worry, for He is with you. He is there holding you by the hand and lifting you up. He sees you! In the midst of the chaos, He knows exactly where you are. Just keep your hearts and minds focused on Jesus! Once your process is complete, He will lift you out of the clutter just as He has done with us! Amen!

Read What Thus Saith The Lord

  • People don't want to hear what God is saying but they want Him to hear what they are saying. We are asking God for change but has He seen a change in us? Don't give God your last and expect to receive His first. Don't give God anything you wouldn't accept. Genesis 22:17-18, Ezekiel 18:21-22, Psalm 51:1-3, Exodus 34:26
  • Say "God Bless You" when someone coughs as well as sneezes. Why only to those who sneeze? Sneezers expect the blessing but coughers do not. Give coughers that unexpected blessing. 2 Chronicles 1 :11-12
  • We should cover and love our children more. Often times they hear more clearly from the Lord than we do simply because they are willing and pure at heart. Mark 10:14, Psalm 8:2, Matthew 5:8
  • The Holy Spirit brought back to remembrance (for the sake of this posting) a prayer He had me speak out into a particular atmosphere: Have joy; stop being fake; yield to God and His will; know God for yourself; Christ died for everyone not just a few; stop trying to be a psychologist and figure out why people do what they do and speak LIFE over them, we cannot save or condemn anyone; get that log out of your own eye; have mercy; do what God has told you; be obedient; stop acting like a Pharisee; the people pleasers have their reward already; love thy neighbor as thy self; love God with ALL your heart, mind and strength; God didn't give us fear so don't be ashamed to speak about Jesus; restoration; learn your identity in Christ; bind spirits of confusion, doubt, depression, pride, division and judgment; loose yielding to the Spirit, worshiping in spirit and in truth, operating in the fruits of the Spirit. He that have an ear let him hear.

  • For some of us it's time to come up into ministry, for others, there is still in the preparation process. Wait for the confirmation from your leaders. God has given us leaders for a reason. . .The Holy Spirit showed me a vision of my overseer, dressed in a pretty, red, two piece dress with matching hat, of course. She was the only one in perfect view, everyone else was blurry. She was in the center of the front row of many people who were locked arm and arm. There were lots of rows. They were on a battlefield. Bombs were being dropped, planes were shooting at each other, there was barb wire. She was leading the people who are assigned to her, by God, into victory. Her pace was very steady, her face determined. All of a sudden, a few people tried to come out of their place in the row and run ahead of her. In their eyes, she was not moving fast enough for them. They were instantly killed. There were others who broke away from the pack and strayed behind. They too, were killed. Only the ones who stayed in place-locked arm and arm and moving along with our leader- were kept alive. It was only because of the covering of the leader. She, like other leaders have an assignment which involves those under them. Do not take your leader(s) for granted. Ephesians 4:11-13, Ephesians 2:20

  • Come against this spirit of bullying that is strong across the nation. Matthew 18:11, Ephesians 6:12

  • Get serious about warfare. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Romans 12:21, 2 Timothy 2:1-4, Ephesians 6:10-20

  • Operate in unity with the body of Christ. We all need and complement each other. Psalm 133:1, Colossians 3:14, Ephesians 4:3

  • God can and does use ANYONE. Do not treat being a Christian like a secular job. The years you've put in does not give you seniority over receiving God's anointing. He views the heart of man not the years you've put in.  Matthew 20:1-16, 1 Samuel 16:7, 2 Chronicles 16:9

Matters of the Heart

The Holy Spirit showed me a correlation of heart matters with a tube of Zion's eczema cream (for those just tuning in, Zion is my toddler son) .  My husband and I, misplaced the tube cap. As a result, air entered the tube and the cream near the tube opening became hard. The tube was still workable when the cap was first misplaced; we could find cracks through the hardened areas and still cause the regular cream to come forth. As time went on, layers of hard cream surrounded the tube opening.  So hard that it is now difficult to squeeze the cream out, even with force. Applying force causes the cream to come out at other ends of the tube! The top seems sealed completely and we now have cracks on either side of the tube in which cream comes oozing out.

Our hearts can be very similar to this tube of eczema cream. Our feelings may be misplaced and allows our heart to be given to the wrong person. Or our heart is open at this wrong time, allowing the wrong things to enter. Or again, we may have our hearts properly open to the right person (parent for example) and that person may be suffering from a hardened heart. Any and all of these scenarios result in a hardened heart. After the heart is hardened, force must be applied to get through to it. Unfortunately, not everyone is willing, able, or understanding enough to apply the right amount of force to our hearts to get through to the soft portion. The hard areas may be too thick.

As a result, those seeking our heart may only experience the hardened areas. If they are willing to stick around through the layers of negativity, anger, sadness, bitterness, etc. associated with a hardened heart, they will began to see glimpses of our heart piercing through. Forcing the hardened heart of someone may result in a lot of emotions bursting out at once. This can result in unhealthy romantic, friend and family relationships.

Our hearts must be properly dealt with. The proper way is by giving our heart to God. And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. Ezekiel 36:26  The hard heart/ cream is replaced with the soft. This exchange comes by revelation, repentance and deliverance. This exchange also allows us to be lighter, as we are not longer carrying the stony weight of the pains, hurts, and disappointments in our heart. We have given them to God to deal with on our behalf. He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.Psalm 147:3. Even when we are wronged by others, we must give these things to God. It does us no good to carry them, meanwhile the person(s) who gave them to you have long forgotten about them. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Not giving them to the Lord allows other things to birth and build upon them, which brings even more weight. Your heart which began as a soft, fleshly, properly functioning organ becomes more and more compressed as we add hardened layers. Please understand, this is is not just a pep talk given within a blog; I have given many MANY hurtful things as well as their birthings to God. They include family members, pride, molestation, rejection, anger, and SEVERAL more. I am thankful to Jesus for allowing me total deliverance from these and future issues and the strength to expose my heart to Him. He is more than willing to heal EVERYONE from EVERYTHING unlike Him! We just have to let Him !

No Diego, No !

Have you ever been in a situation (argument) where you just knew you were in the right? No one could tell you anything, you had it all under control and everyone else needed to get on board. And then. . .you mature and God brings that incident(s) back to mind? I know I have !

You reflect on the situation and several emotions come to you; embarrassment, regret, being exposed and conviction.  But thank God for His grace! He brought us out of the situation as a better being and helped us look BACK on our shortcomings. You can only look back at something that you've gotten PASS! And don't worry about being exposed. ..for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said,“Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light." Ephesians 5:14.  All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. John 3:20-21  It is not actually you being exposed but an evil way you possessed. .

This puts me in mind of an episode of ' Go Diego, Go! '. . .for those unaware, it is a cartoon on Nickelodeon station.  Diego's daily mission is returning various animals throughout the world to their homes and out of harms way. In this one particular episode, Diego was helping an anaconda get back to it's family. It had someone strayed away. He belonged in the rainforest but he somehow ended up in a desert area. This is bad for anacondas; as they cannot be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time. So Diego asked the audience to run with him from tree to tree while holding the anaconda until the destination was reached. The anaconda loved being in the shade.

Here is what I see in this episode: the serpent using someone with good intentions to maneuver throughout the land. It is using this vessel- because it cannot do it without a vessel-to assist him in trying to disturb fruitful tree after fruitful tree, until he reaches his destination. . .HELL. Unfortunately that person with good intentions is going there as well as he is unaware where the serpent is leading him. You know the old saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions."

We have to be sure to use our previous shortcomings as testimonies to save the Diego's of the world from Satan's trap. We also have to save these fruitful trees as Satan is trying to sneak his way within them and have them wither away. They are thriving in an otherwise desolate land and are easily spotted by him. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 As I watched this part of the episode, I kept saying "Satan, you can run but you can't hide! The Son sees you!" Hallelujah!

After Satan does damage he then puts it off on you; blaming you, condemning you. But there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus! Romans 8:1 The devil is a liar! John 8:44 Thank God for exposing and purging us of things unlike Him. His conviction, not condemnation allows you to grow closer to Him. He's removing those blessing blockers. They come in all forms but they must return from wince they came; the devil!  So stay strong in Jesus! He has you covered. . .with His BLOOD!

Check My Footwork

For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. Ephesians 6:15

One day, during my fellowship with our Lord, I received a text message. It was from one of my sisters in Christ. I was just beginning to get in a place of praise so I had no problem checking the message. She was asking me about my shoe size. I quickly replied and went back into fellowship. About an hour later, I received another text message. I usually don't hear my phone around this part of my fellowship but as God would have it, I did hear. It was another one of my sisters in Christ. She wanted to know where she could purchase a specific shoe type.

At this point, I had to stop and ask God, "Lord what are you telling me? What's going on with shoes today?" I began researching shoes and feet and how they relate to the Word of God. Feet, of course play a very important role in the body.  They bare our weight and take us to and fro in whichever direction we are headed.  A single foot is comprised of more than 26 bones, 33 joints and more than a hundred muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Those ligaments and muscles are very strong; allowing for mobility by redistributing the body weight .A shoe as defined by Wikipedia, is an item of footwear intended to protect and comfort the human foot while doing various activities.

I also came across Ephesians 6:15 which is mind-blowing. Peace is a component of the full armor of God. This armor is designed to allow us to stand firm against ALL strategies of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. Feet beautifully bring forth THE Good News, proclaiming peace, bringing good tidings and proclaiming salvation. Romans 10:15, Isaiah 52:7. Wow! God places peace as our feet armor,so we should be standing on it. It fully prepares us as stated in Ephesians 6:15.  Like shoes, it covers us from any hazards during our walk with God. This is why our Lord tells us that our feet should be shod with peace.  Because our feet take us along our journey they should be covered with peace to give us godly instruction toward our next destination. Things and people will appear and test your emotions. It is important to have peace to pass the test WITH flying colors!

Where do you find peace? In Jesus Christ. I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. John 16:33 He is the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.. John 14:27 His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15 Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.Romans 5:1

God used my sisters to get my attention about my missing armor. I was easily irritated, angered, or hurt. My emotions were under attack during the days prior to this revelation and as a result, my peace was constantly being taken away. Notice I said my peace. It is only when I received the peace that Jesus left for me- which surpasses ALL understanding, that I became victorious over being overly emotional. No matter how crazy or potentially nerve wrecking things can be, it is imperative that we remain at peace! God was reminding me that I can cast ALL of my cares upon Him. He is reminding you of this same truth. Amen.

I Dance for HIM

           John 4:23 NLT
But the time is coming--indeed it's here now--when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.

I  recently had a vision that showed me as a dancer for the Lord. I had on a beautiful ballerina type ensemble and I worshiped and praised Him with my all. There was such a heavenly sound playing as I gracefully displayed my reverence for our Father. I did not sweat nor did I faint nor did I stop. Let them praise his name with dancing. . . Psalm 149:3 I danced on and on, all the while the Lord was watching, smiling, and well pleased with my praise towards Him. This scene puts me in mind of a jewelry box where the ballerina dances to a lovely song after the crank is wound around and around- only my dancing was eternal to our eternal God.

Every now and again someone would try to deter me; to knock me over; to get me out of worship mode. God would quickly turn to them, with a frowned face and flick them away. Can you imagine the pain associated with a flick from God? ? ? Could we even survive such a thing? ? ? He saves us from our enemies and all who hate us. Luke 1:71   You are the One who gives us victory over our enemies; You disgrace those who hate us. Psalm 44:7 He then turns back to me, smiling once again and assuring that I did not get off track. He will not let you stumble, the One who watches over you will not slumber. Psalm 121:3

God is using this vision to show us how important it is to remain focused on Him and not those trying to harm us. He will take care of anyone trying to stop us from doing His will; to worship Him in Spirit and Truth as John 4:23 reads. Vengeance is His, not ours. Romans 12:19 He is no respecter of persons. Acts 10:34  so if we lose focus we are distancing ourselves from Him. WE DO NOT WANT THAT TO HAPPEN. He inhabits the praises of His people. Psalm 22:3 It is important that we love and pray for those who wish us harm. Matthew 5:44 It is not them but that working through them that is the problem.

So keep focus on the Lord. Continue to Praise Him! Reverence Him! Thank Him! Glorify Him! He WILL take care of the rest. Be sure to act as David did and not as Michal! 2 Samuel 6:13-23

His Presence

It’s as if I am laying at the feet of the Father
My head resting atop his knee.
He brushes my hair back ever so gently
Away from my face
Such a warm embrace.

There is such peace here.
Puts me in mind of a waterfall
So calming
So constant
So lovely.
Flowing into a beautiful stream
Which begins and ends with You.
Ever flowing
Everlasting

There is a coolness in this place.
A crispness in the air.
The refreshing feeling of newness.
Of Your mercy which renews daily.
Colors of calming blue and smoky grays cross my mind.
The fog settles and condenses into dew

Out comes the sun
Your beautiful Son
Over the mountains in which this beautiful stream flows
Rising slowly
Amazingly
Brightly above the hills afar.

The cool air becomes warm.
All of nature perks up.
I skip a rock atop the stream
The ripples perfectly placed
In heart formation.

I rest in this calmness
In this peace
Which surpasses all understanding
There may be a war going on outside
But that is not a concern here
In this place
As long as I have this place
As long as it has me
Nothing else matters.

This wonderful place is unlike anywhere else
You see, this place
This marvelous place
Is Real.
I visit whenever and as often as I can

To feel my Father’s loving arms
Protect me
Heal me
Comfort me
From anything not like Him
He smile reassures me
That everything is just as He would have it be

Ordered Steps

We are all on a staircase that leads to God. Everyone has a step that they are on. While on this step, there is work to be done. The assignment was there before you arrived. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. Ephesians 1:11 Not only are we working on self while on this step but we should also be helping others. No one can do the work of the Lord alone.

There are people behind us (Push Ups) who are there to give us a lift; a push, towards the things of God. If we stumble, they are there to lean on and put us back on track. Sometimes, we are apprehensive or nervous about going to the next level even though God says it is time. This is when our Push Ups, in love, guide us and push us to the next step.God has anointed them to push you. This person may be someone you've never met, someone younger than you, or even someone you've had to push before. And it may be a short push or take several months. The only way you can be sure is to ask the One who placed them there!

We also have Side Steppers. Arm and arm with you, going through the same trials and tribulations. Side Steppers are able to relate and encourage each other because they are experiencing the same things. God gives us each other to edify one another; iron sharpening iron. Proverbs 27:17 Your side stepper may change as the assignment changes. Someone who was once your push up may then become your side stepper. You may then become their push up as God elevates them to another level. The key is to remain obedient and do the will of the Father. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 Do not be envious or filled with strife. These ways are not of God.

Lastly, we have the Pull Ups. These are people who've been where you are in your walk with God. Though the walks are not identical, there are key similarities. As God gives them the unction, Pull Ups give you a hand as you take the next step. They make the transition smoother for you. You look up to them as Pull Ups for guidance and encourage you on obstacles you may be facing. They are not better than you, just on another level. They are trailblazers. We all need guidance. The only one at the top is Jesus Christ.

It's important that we understand that this process is on going. We should be wearing all three hats. We are constantly touching and agreeing with each other. Constantly lifting others, helping those beside us and seeking guidance from others. This is how it should be. There is something wrong when you are in one constant role, for example, only guiding and never accepting guidance or only lifting others and never being lifted. Our assignments may take one day/month/year/decade but it is important to do as God desires. Keep focus on the task at hand. Do not look at what God is doing with others. Everyone and every assignment is different. When you lose focus, you are hindering yourself and those you were appointed to assist. You can not do your job well when you are focusing on someone else's position.

Those who get stuck are holding up the process. Because you are refusing to go to the next level, you have cause a disconnection. Things are getting out of order. But be sure that everything is done properly and in order. 1 Corinthians 14:40 When you refuse to keep going, you are stopping your growth. The one behind you needed you to help them come up. The one beside you needs your help in staying faithful while on that particular step and you begin to wear out the one in front that's trying to pull you up to where God wants you to be. When it's time, it's time. The people around you are ever changing. If you lose focus, you may miss who God has for you in a particular season. This causes God to elevate someone in your place to do His will. His work MUST be done!

Also be careful not to advance yourself. You cannot step on others and place yourself somewhere that is not for you. It doesn't matter how long you've been in your current place. If God has you there, it is for a reason! When you step on others, it causes anger and pain and results in no one wanting to help you. You cannot elevate yourself to a place because there are people there that are not anointed to help you. Then you are alone. When you do not have support, you fall. . . .patience is better than pride. Ecclesiastes 7:8 So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 1 Peter 5:6

So let us all do the Lord's work as He sees fit. There should be constant encouragement, pulling up, correction, uplifting and guidance. No one should feel alone as there are plenty of us who need encouragement. And no one should be boastful as there are plenty being advanced. WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.

Lord, Show us the roles we play in the lives of others. Let Your perfect will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. May we all see how we need each other and that You alone are God. Reveal anything within us that is not like you that we may rebuke it in the name of Jesus, and continue our earthly journey with pure hearts before you. I plead the blood of Jesus over this prayer and anyone reading it. In Jesus' precious name I pray, AMEN.

JUST DO IT !

2 Kings 5:1-17 Naaman is Healed of Leprosy

Verse 1 Reads: " The king of Aram had great admiration for Naaman, the commander of his army, because through him the LORD had given Aram great victories. But though Naaman was a mighty warrior, he suffered from leprosy". . . we all have flaws. No one should get beside themselves. In verse 2, we find a young girl, though a maid, had more wisdom and faith in the Lord than those in authority. “I wish my master would go to see the prophet in Samaria. He would heal him of his leprosy.” She didn't say "he may be healed but he would. All he has to do is go see the prophet. Just do it!

So King Aram relays the message to Naaman. The king packs tons of gifts and send Naaman, on his way. Once he arrives, God speaks to and through Elisha (Verse 10) “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan River. Then your skin will be restored, and you will be healed of your leprosy.” SIMPLE AS THAT!

11 But Naaman became angry and stalked away. “I thought he would certainly come out to meet me!” he said. “I expected him to wave his hand over the leprosy and call on the name of the LORD his God and heal me! Naaman, was a man who did not know the Lord, so this infuriated him. He was expecting foolishness; a show; a production with a smoke machine, fireworks, and Elisha making a grand entrance. TRUE people of God do not carry on this way. 12 Aren’t the rivers of Damascus, the Abana and the Pharpar, better than any of the rivers of Israel? Why shouldn’t I wash in them and be healed?” So Naaman turned and went away in a rage. Naaman is saying "That's not how I see other people get things from God. This doesn't even make since. Are you sure you're hearing from God? That can't be right."But people who aren't spiritual can't receive these truths from God's Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can't understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means (1 Corinthians 2:14). . . Just do it!

13 But his officers tried to reason with him and said, “Sir,if the prophet had told you to do something very difficult, wouldn’t you have done it? So you should certainly obey him when he says simply, ‘Go and wash and be cured!’” Naaman was expecting Elisha to demand all of the gifts that he brought with him and then some, until he became impoverished (like he sees other people experience),that things would have to tarry & tarry (like others), that he would have to cry out and then fall out (like others) and offer up burnt offerings until he left this world. Not everything has to be this way! Yes, we will have tribulation in this world but Jesus said, BE OF GOOD CHEER, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. (John 16:33) He came that we may be saved! (John 3:17) And live abundantly! (John 10:10) And in Freedom! (John 8:36) The Word of God says speak those things that aren't as though they are,(Romans 4:17)  JUST DO IT! Because His word says we have dominion and power,(Genesis 1:28) (Luke 10:19) JUST WALK IN IT! If all we need is the faith of a mustard see, JUST HAVE IT! Call forth those miracles! Speak favor into your atmosphere! Receive the blessings that the Lord wants to pour on His people which are exceedingly and abundantly more than we can ask or think!(Ephesians 3:20) JUST DO IT! Cast your cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7), JUST DO IT. Let not your hearts be troubled (John 14:1), JUST DO IT!

Naaman did make the decision to be obedient and reaped immediate results because of it. Fortunately for him, he had his officers there to reason with him.

About a month ago, after church service, my family and I were sitting in the car.We were at my in-loves home waiting on them to arrive. The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said "Get out and run around this car!" So I did! I ran around our car three times, one of the in-loves car twice and around our car once more. Now previous to this date, I HAD (but I received healing a year prior, thank you, JESUS) knee issues. It runs in the family (no pun intended). Because of this I never really exercised or did anything athletic. Do you think that mattered to me or to God? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I did as I was told, no matter how I looked. You can imagine my husband's face as this all took place. I didn't tell him, I just did it. He laughed as The Holy Spirit gave him revelation of what was taking place.

I do not know for sure God reasoning behind the task but I can say that my family and I are still breathing! We are in great health! We have a roof over our heads and good food to eat! Not only that but two (2) of my siblings contacted me that same week. They shared  testimonies of how God was speaking to them and causing them to prosper. Their hearts were so humbled because they know they did nothing to deserve this. They were previously unsaved and loving the world and the death it has to offer. These two went from living the "street life" with gang bangers and smoking constantly to seeing visions of God, hearing Him and feeling His love engulf them! TELL ME GOD AIN'T GOOD!

You just never know what God has planned. We can ponder and complain and doubt and stalked away as much as or even more that Naaman did. At the end of the day, when God speaks, JUST DO IT ! I don't even want to think of the consequences if I were disobedient. When you feel your faith in God wavering, ask Him to help your unbelief Mark 9:24, and JUST DO IT ! ! !

Sensing God

I pray that I'm pleasing in Your sight,
Oh God, have mercy on my soul.
For You delight in the prayers of the upright,
Using Your grace and unfailing love to console.

Hear my cry, oh Lord,
Harken Your ear and turn to me.
For on this prayer my heart is out poured,
Where Your will is, I want to be.

Touch my life, Oh Merciful One,
Fill it with all the fulness of You.
I want to bring You into remembrance of Your Son,
For it is His life & teachings in which I cling to.

May my aroma be a sweet smell,
As I offer myself; a living sacrifice.
Use me as Your place to dwell,
I pray that my mere form will suffice.

For I thirsted for You,
A well of Living Water is what You gave.
I hungered to know what is righteous & true,
And Your Daily Bread ceased that crave.

there is righteous living. Romans 6:16

there is life, security and protection from harm. Proverbs 19:23

there is prosperity. Proverbs 28:25

The Lord leads forth. . .

the prisoners with singing. Psalm 68:6

the humble in doing right. Psalm 25:9

When He leads, it is. . .

Into ALL truth. John 16:13

Along the paths we should follow. Isaiah 48:17

Away from sin and results in salvation. 2 Corinthians 7:10

In Christs' triumphal procession. 2 Corinthians 2:14

With unfailing love and faithfulness. Psalm 25:10

What's That Smell ??? It's Victory !

"For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?" Isaiah 43:19

I have this certain fragrance that I wear. I've been wearing it just about everyday, since last summer. Apparently, NO ONE has noticed it until a couple weeks ago. Seriously. My family, residents at my job and church members have all  been complimenting me on how nice I smell. People whom I don't even know will sniff around until they realize that I am what they are smelling: TRUE STORY. Even my husband sat next to me and said "You smell good, bay." There was even a day when I felt "unsure" of myself but again, I was complimented on my aroma.

I placed these incidents in the back of my mind until God spoke one morning. He says He has made me a new women, even down to my scent. He dwells within me so it is He that people are picking up on. They are complimenting Christ within me!

As we grow in Him, He grows in us. This growth alerts the senses of those around us to see Who He is within us. People are catching "wind" of Him! And the time(s) we feel "unsure" are just that, feelings. No matter how we feel, He dwells within us! We are God's chosen vessels! You see, Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. 2Corinthians 2:15

This aroma is being released not only in the natural but in the spirit realm as well. The angels are rejoicing while demons are trembling. This Scent is sending out a signal to God's armies to keep us covered  meanwhile reminding Satan that his so called reign is done; finished; OVER. This heavenly aroma will only become stronger as our relationship deepens with Him; reading and having fellowship with the Father. . . you will be like a pleasing sacrifice to me. And I will display my holiness through you as all the nations watch. Ezekiel 20:41

The deeper we grow, the more others will notice. Christ within us will become unconfined and unlimited. The flesh will die and therefore have no further authority. The Word of God will float around us in a beautiful cloud . People will begin to "sniff" us out for a Word and guidance. The enemy will is in fear us at first sight because he sees Christ when he sees us. He will smell us coming and flee in the name of Jesus!

What Type of Woman Are You? PART 3!

Naomi & Ruth: Mother and Daughter in Law LOVE

It took me awhile(four days) but here it is! Part 3. The finale of the series. Three is such a powerful number; FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT. (:

I could go on and on about relating Biblical stories to our own lives but. . .I'm not. Think of this as a class power point. It contains great info, but you'll learn a lot more if you read the Book for yourself. God is calling us to study His Word and develop a deeper relationship with Him. This mini-series was written to jump start or refresh  (depending on where you are in your walk) your desire to obtain knowledge.

Please get out your bibles. I enjoy the NLT version but you read whatever works for you. (: I'm summarizing the bond between Ruth and Naomi. It spans 4 chapters in the book of Ruth. God is calling His daughters to possess the positive characteristics of these two women!

Chapter :1 Shows me Naomi's character. She was a strong woman (verse 6), who knew how to take care of herself.(verse 8) She thought of others before thinking of herself and even spoke blessings in Ruth and Orpah for new husbands! (verse 9)
Naomi gave her two daughter-in-loves the option to go back to their birth families. Orpah decided to leave but not Ruth. I can't say that I fault Orpah but I do admire Ruth for remaining with Naomi. Note that the young  women waited until Naomi brought up the subject before speaking about it. (verse 14) Naomi was a well respected woman.
Anywho, Ruth was also a strong woman. Maybe she learned this from her mother-in-love. She willingly left her familiarity and followed Naomi to a land unknown by herself. (verse 18) I wonder why she decided to remain with Naomi? Did Naomi treat her better than her own family? Did she feel bad for Naomi? Ready for a fresh start? Whatever the reason(s), her decision to go with Naomi definitely deepened their relationship.
Chapter 2: Look at Ruth! She is such a humble woman! Not afraid of hard work and being a provider AND she asked Naomi for permission.(verse 2) Ruth looked to Naomi for love, care, and guidance. We need more Naomi's for the lost Ruth's of the world! And because Ruth was the type of woman she was, she had an immense amount of favor on her life. She stepped out on faith by going with Naomi and God rewarded her. He preordained the chain of events in her life. She didn't just happen to begin working for a man of God like Boaz. Boaz didn't just happen to notice her and the type of work she did in his field.God placed her there for a reason. He put her in a place where she could be provided for. The Lord knows EXACTLY what He's doing. Boaz was blessed to be a blessing; he blessed Ruth and Naomi tremendously.
Apparently it was a big deal to be able to dip her bread in his wine. (verse 14) I am glad she had that privledge!
Verse 16: FAVOR!
Verse 19: BLESSINGS!
Verse 23: Hard worker! Meek! Humble! She must've had a rough upbringing because she did not mind hard work.
Chapter 3: Once again, Naomi thinking of others. (verse1) In the beginning of this chapter, Naomi was preparing Ruth to give herself (not like that. .well not until they married anyway) to Boaz. They could not longer afford the upkeep of the land so they needed a redeemer to purchase it and keep it within the family. (Verse 5) "I will do all you say". Ruth really saw Naomi as a mother, a wise, virtuous, respectable woman, otherwise she would not have gone through with the events of the night.
Verse 8: Stretched at his feet- Ruth knew what it meant to be submissive/humble. PLEASE NOTE: She is not acting in this way with just any man. Boaz is a man of God; successful, kind, hard working and I didn't read about any baby mama drama. We should not "lay at the feet" of any type of man.
Verse 9: She may have been humble but definitely not shy. She proposed!
Verse 10: Aww, she made him feel good about himself.
Verse 11 reads "Now don’t worry about a thing, my daughter. I will do what is necessary, for everyone in town knows you are a virtuous woman." (=
Chapter 4: Biblically  speaking, men of status and leadership sat at the town gates, surveying the area and watching for any enemy attacks. So, I'm guessing Boaz had a little clout with him.
Verse 4: Why did Boaz word it that way?
Verse 9-10: Good grief, you had to announce all your business in those days! Now we just choose to.
Verse 11-15: Wow no haters, they live in a wonderful area. Everyone is so happy for them (=
Verse 16: I am glad that little Obed brought Naomi out of her negative way of thinking when it came to herself. Grand-babies tend to have they effect.
Verse 18-22: Look at that bloodline!

What Type of Woman Are You? Part 2

Samaritan Woman- From Sinner to Evangelist...in one day!

Oh, how I enjoy this story! (: First off, she is talking to JESUS!! FACE TO FACE!! Secondly, talk about a reality check? Jesus checked her! It was in love and for her own good but He told her just like it was. I don't understand how people look over this story when they say things like "Jesus never rebuked sinners only Christians."

For those not familiar with this story, Jesus meets and forever changes the life of a Samaritan woman...with conversation.

Verse 1-6: Jesus is on His way to Galilee from Judea. The distance travelled to Samaria from Galilee was between 5 and 6 hours. So yeah, I can understand why He would be tired. It was probably hot too. And you know those sandals had little to no support for His feet.

Verse 7: I believe He was expecting her. (: ....Also, he said "please" (: . I love Jesus!

Verse 10: My God! My God! If she only knew!

Verse 11: I can tell that she was a quick witted woman. Her response was immediate but in the middle of her response, her mind began to process what she'd just heard. "Where would you get this living water?"

Verse 14: Yes!!! NEVER be thirsty again!!!

Verse 15: She still speaking of well water. But she was about to get just what she asked for. The LIVING water.

Verse16: "Go and get your husband" . Jesus was testing her. Although He knew what she would say, he wanted her to know WHO HE IS.

Verse 17: She gives an immediate, honest reply. This small dialogue shows me that she is a strong woman. Jesus knew that He couldn't approach just anyone in this manner. With some people, you have to ease into a rebuke. But not her. She could dish it out and she could take it.

Verse 18: If His response isn't a reality check, I don't know what is! Can you imagine someone you've never met telling you about this part of your life in your first conversation with them? She knew He wasn't from around there and that her people didn't socialize with His people....and 5 husbands??? I'm not sure if she was optimistic about being a wife or afraid of being alone.

Verse 19: See what I mean, strong woman. Sharp woman. She knew His knowledge was God given. She didn't break down crying or deny it or run away. She faced Him head on. She was probably accustomed to dealing with all types of things being said about her and her past. This was just another day. But based on the character of Jesus, she knew He was different.

Verse 20: I wonder how long she'd been waiting to ask that? She sensed in her spirit that something was wrong with the division. How can we serve the same God, the TRUE LIVING GOD but forced to do it in separate places?

Verse 21-24: SPEAK IT LORD!! TRUE WORSHIPPERS!! He was saying things to her that many probably didn't know. He knew that she would go and spread the "Good News" so He was equipping her at this time! (:

Verse 25: I know the Messiah is coming-the One who is called Christ....the Messiah just DID explain everything!

Verse 26: HELLO !!

Verse 27: They knew better...

Verse 28,29: She forgot the entire reason she went to the well ! Her reason wasn't the REAL reason at all.

Verse 30: So the people came streaming from the village to see Him. Look at the evangelist at work =) . . . .how were the people so willing to listen to her? Maybe that's the first time they've seen her excited about anything? Maybe she was at one time related to most of them by marriage?

Verse 34:38: Jesus is speaking that Word!

 Verse 39-43 reads
"MANY Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, “He told me everything I ever did!” When they came out to see him, they begged him to stay in their village. So He stayed for two days, long enough for many more to hear His message and believe. Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not just because of what you told us, but because we have heard him ourselves. Now we know that he is indeed the Savior of the world.” "

AWESOME! People are still saved in this way. They want to know what all the hub bub is about Jesus. Once they open their hearts to Him, they are forever changed! The know that He is INDEED the Savior of the world.

Some of us are called to do an evangelistic work. Our past may not be pretty but something within us tells us that we are here for a reason; that we matter. That is God tugging at you! God had given her and us, a responsibility to get the Word out in our areas.
Her repeated failed marriages were to men who were obviously not for her. They may have carried a familiar spirit which she attracted, unbeknownst to her. They became a part of her testimony which Jesus used  for His Father's glory! And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. (Romans 8:28)
